🌿 Our Story
Mother of Jupiter was not created from a trend, a formula, or a desire to start a skincare brand.
It was born from motherhood, memory, loss, prayer, and obedience to God.
I grew up in a home where my mother made skincare for our sensitive skin. She did not teach me how to make it, and there were no written recipes passed down. What she gave me was something deeper. She showed me that care should be intentional, and that how we treat the body matters. That love looks like service and paying attention.
Years later, when I became a mother myself, I did what most parents do. I trusted products labeled “gentle,” “for sensitive skin,” and “safe.” When my son, Jupiter, began struggling with skin issues, I believed those products would help.
They did not.
Instead of healing, his skin became more reactive over time. There were brief moments of relief, followed by flare-ups that returned with greater intensity. I felt frustrated, confused, and deeply burdened. By that time, my mother’s memory had been compromised by dementia. I could not turn to her for guidance or instruction. I was left with what I remembered, what I could learn, and what I could pray through.
And prayer became everything.
God is my everything. Without Him, I am nothing. Without God, Mother of Jupiter would not exist. Without Christ, I would not have had the strength to fight through sadness, depression, and the weight of wanting to give up when answers did not come easily.
I prayed. I researched. I slowed down. I paid attention to ingredients, to irritation, to the skin barrier itself. I asked God for wisdom and discernment, because I did not have certainty, only responsibility. I was not trying to create a product. I was trying to care for my child.
What began to change was not overnight and not miraculous in the way people expect. Jupiter’s skin became calmer. Less reactive. More resilient. His skin was finally given the space to rest and recover instead of being constantly disrupted.
That was the confirmation.
Mother of Jupiter exists to care for the skin, not just cover symptoms. To limit exposure to unnecessary irritants. To support the skin barrier so it can do what God designed it to do. We believe skin can repair itself when it is not being stripped, overstimulated, or overwhelmed.
Every product we create is rooted in intention, restraint, and respect for the body. We formulate with children and sensitive skin in mind because that is where this began. We choose ingredients the body recognizes because we believe simplicity allows the skin to function as it should.
This brand is not about perfection. It is about obedience. About stewardship. About honoring the body God gave us and the responsibility we carry to care for ourselves and our families well.
Mother of Jupiter is named after my son, but it represents something larger. It represents motherhood, protection, faith, and the quiet strength it takes to keep going when you do not have all the answers.
This is our story.
And Christ is at the center of it.
